18 months on, no probe into allegations against former CEO

Akshay Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: Eighteen months on, the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) has failed to complete preliminary investigation over the allegations of corruption, embezzlement of funds to the tune of several Lakhs against former CEO Udhampur. The allegations were leveled by the then Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Pancheri against the then Chief Education Officer of Udhampur Balbir Singh, who is at presently CEO Kathua. According to documents in possession of Early Times, the then Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Pancheri Pawan Slathia had submitted a complaint before Director Vigilance Organization on 12th of May 2015. In the complaint Pawan Slathia had alleged that the then CEO Udhampur had embezzled Lakhs of rupees out of School Improvement Fund from his day of joining as CEO Udhampur in April 2013 till ending April 2015.
