Jammu, Feb 28 : CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), conducted 'On-the-spot Flower Painting/Drawing competition' at CSIR-IIIM main campus. About 450 children from 45 different schools of Jammu region of J&K participated in the event. This programme is a part of 'National Seminar-cum- Exhibition of Kisan Mela, Entrepreneurship Programme and Flower Show' which will organize on March 13, 2016 at CSIR-IIIM Farm, Chatha. This event was categorized in three age groups viz. group I (5-8 years), group II (9-12 years) and group III (13-16 years). Children of group II and III were given Pansy and Nasturtium flowers respectively. Three participants of each group will be chosen for prizes. Result of the flower painting / drawing competition will be sent to respected schools and prizes will be distributed on March 13, 2016 during National Seminar-cum-Exhibition of Kisan Mela, Entrepreneurship Programme and Flower Show. The main purpose of this event was to attract the children towards plant biology especially flowers and promotion of entrepreneurship in future. Dr. Suresh Chandra (Secretary), Dr. Narendra Kumar, Chandrapal Singh (Joint Secretaries), and other staff members of CSIR-IIIM Jammu were present during the event.
