| Showkat Chaudhary re-elected as KHARA president | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Mohammad Showkat Chaudhary has been re-elected as President of Kashmir Hotels and Restaurant Association (KHARA). Showkat would be the President KHARA for the time period of 2014-2016.
In a statement, a spokesman of KHARA said that the election of 20 members Managing Committee under Article 20 (I) of constitution of KHARA was conducted here. Dr. Abdul Majid was elected as Senior Vice President, Abdul Majeed as Junior Vice President, Adil Khan as Secretary General, Ayesha Saleem as Join Secretary General, Ghulam Jeelani as Treasurer and Assad Ullah Khan as Publicity Secretary.
Sharing his views after being re-elected as President KHARA, Showkat said he would try his best to work for the betterment of the tourism sector and take up all issues which tourism sector is facing with government authorities. He said tourism sector is facing many problems which need to be addressed forthwith. "KHARA has been at the forefront in demanding a comprehensive tourism policy for the state which will help streamline the tourism sector. KHARA has worked on many issues in the past few years and we will take up every issue with the government so that tourism sector receives fillip," said Showkat. |
