NSUI Kishtwar protests against JKSBOTE | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 30 : The National Students' Union of India (NSUI), chapter Kishtwar under the leadership of its District President Prakash Singh Dadwal and Distt. General Secretaries Ikhaq Najar and Sheeran Malik today hold massive protest against Jammu and Kashmir State Board of Technical education (JKSBOTE) for careless evaluation of answer scripts of various semesters specially students hailing from Chenab region. The agitating students further alleged that during base examination many students have not crossed double digit out of 100 marks. The angry students said that in first declaration of result we always placed in back lock list in various subjects but later on to filled application form for reevaluation many students cleared their back log papers with handsome marks. The Nsui leaders while addressing the gathering blamed JKSBOTE for failing to repose their creditability among the students. District President NSUI and along with District committee delegates alleged that JKSBOTE always claiming very tall for betterment and advancement of students but in reality they did nothing to boost morality among the students. District President NSUI expressed shock concerned about non availability of the basic laboratory instruments in the government Polytechnic Kishtwar due to which students have to and fro for attaining practical session at jammu on the expenses of students pockets. Not only this the practical examination is also conducted in Jammu for which heavy loss is happening to the students. NSUI District President Kishtwar revealed that due to which students are unsuccessful on account of practical lab work and examination outside their college premises. The NSUI team demanded early rechecking of answer scripts for the students of Chenab valley particularly kishtwar as a remedial to check the spoil of students career. They further demanded that in froth coming session both practical work as well as well as examination should conduct in their own college campus. Later protest was called off on the assurance of college authorities and police authorities with the remark to convey their genuine demand with higher up authorities for early redressal of grievance.
