Kathua, Sept 27: 109th birth anniversary of Shaheed-e- Azam sardar Bhagat Singh was observed at district Kathua wherein students from RMC, Shiva Public, Nav Adarsh, Kidz Heaven under the supervision of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yadgar Samiti participated.
The rally commenced from Kalibari to Bhagat Singh Park wherein students sloganeered in favour of Shaheed Bhagat singh and threw light on his biography. Ravinder Pathania & Shiv Nandan Sharma appreciated the efforts being taken by students to aware the public about the freedom fighters. They said," New generation must be awaked about freedom fighters and all must follow their foot marks. They added that it was need of the hour that new generation must love their country and contribute for its development.
Soni Gupta, a student said " Bhagat singh was an Indian Revolutionary socialist who was influential in the Indian Independence Movement," and added that Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were sentenced to death in the Lahore conspiracy case and ordered to be hanged on 24 March 1931.
Madhavi said ," we must love our country and respect all religions that would be the ultimate solution of all problem being rose in different part of the state these days."
The Sikh Youth welfare Society also remembered the national hero Sardar Bhagat Singh in a different programme and demanded Bharat Ratna Award for him.
Bhupinder Singh, Member Sikh Youth welfare Society said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya with Bharat Ratna but Shaheed Bhagat Singh's contribution was not less than any other national leader and free fighter so he also deserves the honored.
