Jammu, Oct 18: Pursuant to inputs that officers / officials of PDD in Jammu during the year 2015-2016 have drawn huge amount on account of purchases, repairs and installations of various electric items like transformers, poles, cables etc without adhering to the codal formalities and by making purchases from the un-registered dealers on exorbitant rates, a Joint Surprise Check (JSC) was conducted today by the teams of Vigilance Organization Jammu, headed by Dy.SP H.L. Pandita and Dy.SP V.K. Bhat, in three Electric Divisions of Jammu i.e. ED (II) Gandhinagar, ED (III) Janipur, ED Parade, and their respective workshops. Besides, JSC was also conducted in Electric Central Store Division Narwal and Central Workshop Division Narwal. Record pertaining to purchases and repairs have been seized for scrutiny in the presence of the employees of the Department to ascertain the facts. |
