NMC demands implementation of 7th Pay Commission | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's to immediately convene Chief Minister's meeting of those states who are dependent on Central grants for running their day to day business including state of Jammu & Kashmir. This meeting should specifically address the issue of implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendations. Addressing a very well attended of NMC workers meet held at Kanjli last evening, Shastri highlighted the issue of delay in implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendations, adding that several states will find it nearly impossible to share the burden of hugely accumulated arrears to their employees and pensioners should implementation of these recommendations get further delayed. "Central government should come to the rescue of state of Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a very difficult time and the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is ably running the affairs of the state."Shastri said. Shastri further hoped that sufficient provisions will be kept in the upcoming budget to be presented by Finance Minister for regularization of nearly sixty one thousand daily rated workers and implementations of 7th pay commission in one go, so that election promises announced in manifestoes are actualized. Shastri while interacting with workers reiterated his demand for payment of minimum wages at the rate of three hundred fifty per day as per the recently decision of NDA Govt. at the centre. |
