Jammu, Dec 5: The crime branch of police has registered a case against a Patwari for allegedly tampering with revenue record in a Kishtwar village. Muzaffar Hussain, then Patwari, is now girdawar of Pakalan circle, Kishtwar. The complaint against him was lodged by one Ajaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hussain Lone of Mandri Trigam, Kishtwar. The complaint along with the August 16, 2016 SVC order was received by CB through the commission's deputy registrar vide communication No SVC/Complt/828/2015 on October 18, 2016 with the direction to register a formal case for thorough investigation. After the scrutiny of Kishtwar ADC's report in this regard, SVC had found that khasra girdawri registers had been tempered from time to time. It also found that mutations under LB-6 of Trigam and Dool had not been attested as per the requirement of the rules and additions and alterations were made by tempering in the concerned revenue registers to benefit a few people. Hussain was alleged to have done all this and also prepared forged and fabricated mutation No 1355-LB-6, 1354-LB-6 and mutation No 1479-LB-6 illegally. The CB has booked Hussain and the beneficiaries for the commission of offences under sections 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of RPC read with section 5(2) of P C Act Svt 2006. (JNF) |
