Jammu, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Federation (JKGEWF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Kulwant Singh and discussed various problems being faced by them and resolved to observe 'mass casual leave' on December 19, in support of their demands. Addressing a press conference President of Association, Kulwant Singh expressed anguish over the anti-employees and anti-workers attitude of the Government especially towards daily rated workers. Highlighting various demands of workers and daily wagers, Mr Singh the association unanimously resolved to go on one day casual leave programme on December 19. Addressing the conference, S.Kulwant Singh, Shahid Hussain ,Subhash Chander, Paramjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Aslam Khan, and L R Khajuria appealed to the state government employees, casual labours of various departments including PSU's and pensioners to observe the one day mass casual leave and assemble in M A Stadium Jammu on Dec 19 where a massive rally will be held to press the state government for immediate settlement of the below noted demands. Speakers also highlighted various demands of employees which included Regularization for need base casual labours of all departments who have been engaged after 1994, Implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, 10% interim relief till implementation of 7th pay commission is done, . Among others present were Ranjit Singh, Rajinder Singh, Kulesh Kumar, Manohar Lal, Manzoor Ali, Sandeep Khanna, Pushpinder Singh, Har Dutt Sharma, Dev Dutt, RohJLKumar, Naresh Kumar, Kamaljit Singh, Parveen Kumar and Parminder. |
