'Doda-Kishtwar Chalo' to defeat Govt move to disarm VDCs: IkkJutt
12/26/2018 10:27:17 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 26: A deputation of concerned citizens from Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar today met IkkJutt Chairman Ankur Sharma, Advocate and other team members to discuss the situation arising out of sinister decision of the state government to disarm Village Defence Committees in Jammu region. The deputation informed that the situation in Doda-Kishtwar and Ramban districts is very alarming which has made the life of the Hindus of this sensitive area of Jammu province all the more insecure. The deputation condemned the manner in which the vested interests in the administration have been harassing the members of the VDCs with a view to forcing them to deposit their guns.
"The gruesome murder of Bharatiya Janata party leaders Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar in the heart of Kishtwar town should have made the authorities sit up and evolve and implement a policy that would deter terrorists operating in the area to cause Hindu migration and covert all the three districts of Jammu province into another Kashmir. Sad, that instead of reading the writing on the wall and producing a moral effect, the senseless and irresponsible elements in the administration thought of a sinister policy of disarming the VDCs and demoralizing Hindus and the nationalist population of the area. Sharing the views of the deputationists, Ankur Sharma, Chairman IkkJutt Jammu, reassured them that IkkJutt Jammu is with them at this critical juncture and it would do all that it could to defeat the sinister design of the subversive forces. He told them that members of IkkJutt Jammu from across Jammu province would be left with no other option but to organize 'Kishtwar-Doda Chalo march' and fight with the anti-national forces operating in the areas.
