| Srinagar, Aug 8: Body of a 35-year-old man was fished out from a pond in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said on Sunday. They said that panic gripped Shamsipora when the body of a man was found floating inside a pond near Railway track in Kulgam late last evening. “The locals immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the spot and the body was taken away. They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death. “The deceased was later identified as Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh,” they said. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. |
