12/30/2022 10:55:11 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 30: Leading telecom operator, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has received the System and Organizational Controls 2 (SOC2) Certificate of Compliance, approved by AICPA (Association of International Certified Professional Accountants) and audited by CPA of VISTA InfoSec, a renowned global cybersecurity consulting and certification organization.
SOC2 is an auditing standard that reports the efficacy of internal controls based on the SOC2 Trust Service Criteria parameters such as Security, Privacy, Availability, Confidentiality, and Processing Integrity of Information System (IT) function.
This attestation further endorses that the services provided by Vi to its customers are fully secure and compliant. The audit included review of the DDOS services, data centres, network sites, and their environment in terms of safety, security, carbon footprint, etc.
Commenting on this attestation, Mathan K Babu, CTSO, Vodafone Idea Limited said, “The magnitude and the number of recurring cyber-attacks have sensitized the need and adoption of cyber security. Undertaking the SOC2 audit was a strategic decision to validate that our internal controls are well aligned with best security practices and ensures delivery of the highest quality standard services to clients.
We are proud to receive this attestation as it endorses our secure systems and our commitment to deliver the highest quality standard services to our clients.
This would go a long way in winning the trust of our clients in this digital era.”
“SOC2 is not an easy standard to rollout and requires quite a bit of support and commitment from the Auditee Organisation.
It was a great pleasure working with Vodafone Idea team. The support and commitment provided by the Vodafone Idea team was remarkable and commendable. I wish them the best in all their endeavours.” added Narendra Sahoo, Founder & Director of VISTA InfoSec.
