Rejuvenation of Congress near impossible, old party to become extinct soon: Kavinder
4/21/2024 10:32:43 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 21: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Sunday said that rejuvenation of the 'shattered' Congress party has become near impossible as the grand old party is on the verge of becoming extinct. The BJP stalwart said this while interacting with people during door to door campaigning for the BJP candidate in Bahu Constituency.
Kavinder said that the daring steps taken by the Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi in J&K and saturation achieved in the implementation of numerous public welfare schemes have made BJP the most popular political outfit in the country in general and in J&K in particular. He reiterated that looking into the popularity of BJP across the length and breadth of the country, one can say that opposition Congress will soon become history with people finding it difficult to get its traces in any part of the country. He said that large scale corruption and a number of scams carried out by Congress party have made it a thing of the past as people rejected the remnants of this party wherever its leadership attempts to revive it.
Kavinder Gupta said that performance of Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi has remained phenomenal in bringing about positive changes in the lives of the poor and underprivileged in the past one decade. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi firmly believed that the development process of the country must pass through the establishment of state of art infrastructure, which acts as a medium for sustainable and inclusive growth. He claimed that no government in the past had done so much for the poor like the Modi regime as it has tailored dozens of schemes exclusively for the poor strata to bail it out from the morass, which it confronted for the last many decades due to indifference of successive governments.
Assuring that PM Modi has much more in the offing for those who are still struggling to fight poverty, the senior party functionary sought wholehearted support of the people in the Lok Sabha polls and the Assembly elections to be held at a later stage for realizing the unfulfilled dreams of the people in the shortest possible time.
During the campaigning, he observed that the people have made up their minds to support the BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections as per the performance of Modi Government in transforming the union territory in last ten years.
