GDC Ramnagar's NCORD Cell organizes awareness campaign

RAMNAGAR, Feb 1: The NCORD Cell of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar organized an awareness campaign on drug addiction under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal. The initiative aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a drug-free society. The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Head of the English Department, who stressed the importance of spreading awareness among youth. Dr. Sham Singh, NCORD Cell Convenor and Head of the Geology Department, delivered an informative talk on the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to drug addiction.
A key highlight of the event was a thought-provoking skit by NSS volunteers, effectively showcasing the devastating impact of drug abuse on individuals and society.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal commended the NCORD Cell for its efforts in organizing the event. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility in fighting drug addiction and urged students to take an active role in awareness campaigns.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Head of the Dogri Department, who appreciated the efforts of all speakers, participants, and organizers.
