UDHAMPUR, Feb 1: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Udhampur Police has attached properties worth crores belonging to notorious drug peddler Nadeem Sambyal, son of Mohd. Sharif, resident of Chenani, Udhampur. The seized assets include a 3 BHK flat in Mohali, Punjab, and three trucks (JK14J-1718, JK14J-0018, JK14J-0618) under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
The action was taken following an investigation led by SDPO Chenani DSP Sheikh Tahir, SHO Chenani Insp. Jaswinder Singh, and PSI Ravinder, which confirmed that the properties were acquired through illicit drug trafficking. The accused is currently in judicial custody at District Jail Udhampur in connection with FIR No. 167/2023 under Sections 8/15/25/29 of the NDPS Act.
