2/4/2025 10:10:45 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 4: Department of Education under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Govt. Degree College Vijaypur observed National Cancer Awareness Day by organising an online quiz on the theme "United by Unique". More than 60 students from various colleges of jammu and Kashmir participated in the competition which was conducted through google forms and participants received e-certificates. The aim of organizing the competition was to make students aware that every experience with cancer is unique and it will take all of us, united, to create a world where we look beyond the disease and see the person before the patient.
The competition was organized under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal of the college Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Verma. She articulated that 'Cancer' is more than just a medical diagnosis-it's a deeply personal matter, where, behind every diagnosis lies a unique human story-stories of grief, pain, healing, resilience, love and more. That's why a people-centered approach to cancer care that fully integrates each individual's unique needs, with compassion and empathy, leads to the best health outcomes.
Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the IQAC team. She further voiced that these competitions encourage young youth to come together for such causes so that needs of the people and communities are addressed.
