Early Times Report
POONCH, Feb 5: Senior National Conference leader and sitting MLA of Poonch Haveli, Ajaz Ahmed Jan, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Omar Abdullah-led government to the welfare of the people, emphasizing that the party remains dedicated to addressing public grievances and strengthening grassroots governance.
He stated this while chairing an important meeting of National Conference leaders and party workers at Dak Bungalow, Poonch, where a large number of people gathered to voice their concerns. The meeting served as a platform for the public to highlight various developmental issues and organizational matters, with Jan assuring that all genuine demands would be taken up at the appropriate levels for swift resolution.
During the meeting, several key organizational decisions were announced to enhance public outreach and ensure better coordination between the party and the administration. It was decided that a monthly review meeting would be held on the first Saturday of every month, bringing together the District President, Secretary, Vice Presidents, Block Presidents, Halqa Presidents, and other key office bearers to discuss public grievances and party affairs. Additionally, each Block President will conduct two special meetings per month within their respective blocks, submitting detailed reports to the party leadership for necessary action.
In a significant move aimed at addressing public grievances more effectively, a special office will be established in Poonch, where citizens can directly register their complaints and seek redressal. This initiative, Jan said, would ensure a structured and efficient mechanism for resolving public issues in a time-bound manner.
Reiterating the National Conference's pro-people approach, Jan urged party workers to remain in close contact with the masses and work tirelessly to mitigate their problems. He emphasized that the Omar Abdullah government has always prioritized the welfare of the common people and will continue to do so with renewed commitment.
The senior NC leader further called upon the public to take full advantage of these initiatives by actively engaging with party offices and leaders to ensure that their voices are heard and their issues are addressed effectively.
The meeting concluded with a strong resolution to work collectively for the development and prosperity of Poonch Haveli and its people.
