Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 6: On 6th February 2025, the Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu, organized an insightful industrial visit for its BBA students, aimed at providing them with practical industry knowledge and bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications. The students visited Jai Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (PepsiCo), located in the SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahamana, Jammu. PepsiCo, a global leader in the food and beverage industry, is known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable practices in its manufacturing processes.
The visit began with a warm welcome from Mr. Sushil Ruhela, General Manager of HRAD and Litigation, who introduced the students to the core values of PepsiCo, including their focus on operational excellence and sustainability. His presentation set the stage for a detailed tour of the facility. Mr. T.S. Bedi, Operations Director, shared insights into the overall operations strategy of PepsiCo, providing students with a broader understanding of how the company achieves efficiency and maintains quality across its production processes. Later, Mr. Manish Singh, Head of Facilities for all three factories, guided the students through the plant's infrastructure, explaining how advanced technologies and efficient management practices ensure smooth operations.
The students were then taken through the production area by Mr. A.P. Shukla, Operations Manager, who explained the entire manufacturing process, from quality control to packaging.
The visit also provided the students with a chance to learn about human resource management and legal operations within a large-scale manufacturing company.
This industrial visit was an excellent opportunity for the BBA students to engage directly with industry professionals, ask questions, and learn about the operations of a leading multinational company. IMS Jammu continues to prioritize hands-on learning experiences to prepare its students for future professional challenges. The visit to Jai Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (PepsiCo) was a testament to the institution's commitment to providing practical exposure. Director, IMS Dr Meenakshi Sharma expressed her thanks and sincere gratitude to PepsiCo, particularly Mr. Sushil Ruhela and the entire team, for their warm hospitality and for making this visit an enriching experience for all students.
