JK Bank ATM reaches border town Arnia
DC Jammu hails bank's mission of reaching out to all

Jammu, Sept 13: Committed to provide world class banking facilities even at the door steps of people living in far flung areas of the State, J&K Bank today pressed one more ATM into public service at Arnia - a border town in Jammu. Thus the number of JK Bank ATMs in the country has gone up to 308, which includes more than 240 in J&K State.
The ATM was inaugurated by the District Development Commissi-oner, Jammu, Manoj Dwivedi, at a simple but impressive function. Prominent businessmen, farming community, students, senior citizens, employees and housewives of the town attended the function. The District Development Commissi-oner, who was chief guest on the occasion, while addressing the gathering, lauded the role of the bank in developing the economy of Jammu and Kashmir at the grass root level. "The products and services tailored by the bank to suit the local economies in the state are unmatched. The bank has hassle free schemes for unemployed youth in place and my request to such youth is take full benefit of these schemes and carve out a living for themselves," said Dwivedi. He further stated that the people should inculcate saving habits and the J&K Bank deposit schemes are best suited for all segments of the society.
He also hailed the efforts of the bank in extending technology driven services to the people living in remotest parts of the state and wished the bank all success in its ventures which also includes the bank's mission of reaching out to all.
Earlier, welcoming the chief guest, J&K Bank's Zonal Head, Jammu Central Zone, Madan Gupta said that the bank believes in the principle of 'High tech; High touch' and endeavors to provide the general public the convenience of having access to their account 24 X 7 from any part of the world. He emphasized the fact that the bank is on a mission to 'Reach out, listen and empower' the people of the state through initiatives like newly opened 'Khidmat Centres', adoption of villages for financial inclusion, designing of customized products and also maintaining the parks and gardens and monumental places.
"J & K Bank wants to be the part of every household, partner of every businessman, a standby to every student in pursuit of higher studies, nurturing force behind every farmer, hope to the budding entrepreneur and above all, to be an agent of economic and social transformation of this state. The bank will extend ATM network far and wide in the state to facilitate the payment mechanism and reduce the footfall at the branches," said Gupta.
Sunil Gupta, Business Cluster Head II presented the vote of thanks.
