| DBN Vidya Mandir celebrates Teachers Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, SEP 14: DBN (10+2) Vidya Mandir, Amarvilla today celebrated Teachers Day in the School premises. Ashwani MLA, Bishnah was the Chief Guest. Present among others were Virendrajit Singh (Chairman DBN Managing Committee), Leela Karan Sharma (Advisor DBN), Dr. Ramakant Dubey (Advisor SNS), Yashpal Puri (Advisor DBN Mubarak Mandi), Nandita Singh and other members of Managing Committee and Rajendra Kakkar (Manager Trust), Teaching facilities of DBN Vidya Mandir Amarvilla, DBN Mubarak Mandi, SNS Vidya Mandir and a large number of invitees were present on the occasion. This year’s Dr. Yog Prakash Award was presented to Prof. Satish Chander Anand-a renowned educationist, teacher and social worker. He was awarded for his yes-man services as teacher and social worker. Virendrajit Singh present the award lauded his services. Teachers from all three sister institutions were given award on the occasion. Teachers’ giving best performance were also awarded and given cash incentives. Speaking on the occasion Sh. Ashwani Sharma, lauded the role of the teachers’ and stressed upon them to work as a role model to their students. Virendrajit Singh presented mementoes to the distinguished quotas. Sh. Leela Karan Sharma, Dr. Ramakant Dubey and Rajendra Kakkar also spoken on the occasion. The vote of thanks was presented by the principal of the School, Dr. Baljeet Singh. Journalists from leading newspapers were also honoured with mementoes for their services. Sh. Ashwani Sharma impressed upon the journalist to work with Sincerity, honesty and serve as the pillar of the society. A ‘Ganesh Poojan’ was also performed on the occasion.
