JWA, oppose withdrawal of AFSPA, security forces from valley | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 14: The Joint Welfare association (JWA) Ekta Vihar Gangyal has expressed serious concern over violence let loose by the anti-national elements in Kashmir valley during the last three month taken the toll of about 90 civilians and injuries to hundreds of others, including a large number of police and CRPF personnel. In a press statement issued here today the President of the association S. Baldev Singh Wazir has flayed the Kashmiri separatists for inciting the youth to violence under one pretext or the other, making them fodder in the cannons of their own mischievous designs. Strongly opposing withdrawal of AFSPA and reducing in the number of security forces in Kashmir, Singh has said that any decision in this regard should be guided by the security consideration and not under pressure from the anti-national elements. Any move to demoralize security forces is wrought with dangerous consequences and will weaken the security scenario in J&K and the rest of the country, Wazir added. Association strongly opposed any move to remove Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister of the State. He has added that Omar Abdullah, with clean image, has been working with outmost sincerity. But those who have lost the power in the state are creating an atmosphere of anarchy, to defame Omar Abdullah and the government led by him. He has added that National Conference has always played a positive role in the policies of J&K and the country as a whole. Under the present milieu of anti-India campaign in Kashmir, all the nationalist forces should have supported and hailed Farooq Abdullah’s pro-India statements, to meet he challenge of the secessionists. He has added that PDP on the other hand in playing a negative role and is siding with the separatists, only with a view to defame the NC and the government led by it in the state.
