NC seek review of Poonch situation

POONCH, Sept 14: National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Haveli Aijaz Jan today sought detailed review of the prevailing law and order situation in the town.
He said this after district administration apprised him that as a preventive measure, section 144 stands imposed within Poonch Municipal limits and a civil society meet has been organized on September 14 to deliberate upon the present situation.
A meeting of the prominent citizens was held at Dak Banglow Poonch wherein the legislators expressed shock over the sudden turmoil in the town and expressed concern for the people injured during the ay.
He appealed masses for maintaining communal harmony and traditional relationship based on love and brotherhood. He further appealed the public to maintain law and order. He termed the event as sudden upsurge and transitory in nature which is in no way linked to the present Kashmir crisis in valley. He assured the public and District Administration that he will camp in the town and personally supervises the situation till normalcy returns.
