JAMMU, Nov 15: GGM Science College clinched the Handball (Men) Inter-College Trophy for the 2024-2025 session in a tournament organized by the Cluster University of Jammu at GCW Gandhi Nagar.
The final match saw GGM Science College defeating Govt. SPMR College of Commerce with a decisive score of 22-15. Outstanding performances by players Anikat Chib and Abu Bilal Ahmed Kohli were key to the team's success.
Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was organized under his overall supervision, with Miss Kajal Premi, Physical Director of GCW Gandhi Nagar, managing the tournament's logistics.
Dr. (Prof.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College, congratulated the winning team and its Physical Director for their achievement, expressing hope for continued success in future tournaments.
Several dignitaries, including Prof. Yash Paul, Prof. Poonam Kesar, Parikksha, and Ramandeep Karalia, were present during the event. The match was officiated by Gourav Sharma, Kritgya, Amarjot Singh, Abhay Singh, and Abhay Singh Thakur.
The victory highlights the college's strong performance in sports and commitment to excellence.
