PM Modi’s tough talk
6/28/2020 11:46:33 PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sending a clear message to China that India won’t tolerate any misadventure and the ones who tried to look towards our land were given a befitting reply is a clear indication that China is not going to get its way at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, where 20 Indian Army soldiers were martyred earlier this month.
China is trying to build psychological pressure over India but the steps being taken by the Government of India (GoI) seem to have unnerved the Chinese. The standoff in Ladakh has led to Army being moved close to the Line of Actual Control.
If China continues to remain rigid and refuses to deescalate anything can happen.
PM Modi talking tough in his ‘Maan Ki Baat’ programme is a hint that India is getting ready to hit back and the leadership seems in no mood to get bogged down by the Chinese “gundagardi.”
Boycott Chinese products campaign has gained momentum across the country. The call to boycott the Chinese products was given by the famous Ladakhi innovator Sonam Wangchuk.
He had urged people to make China feel the pinch as India is a big market for its products. People of the entire country are standing with Ladakhis and are assuring them that China won’t be allowed to even snatch a single inch of their land.
The Indian Army is fully prepared to give a befitting reply to China.
The message which is being sent to China is that this is not 1962, this is 2020 and India is fully capable of thwarting any move which threatens its sovereignty.
China is trying to win a war without even fighting it but its tactics won’t work. The New India knows how to tackle its adversaries.
The only option for China is to deescalate the tension. It needs to understand that it will have to pay a heavy price if it continues to remain stubborn. China should realize that India is a nuclear power.
China cannot afford to confront a powerful country like India. If it still persists to do so it can prove disastrous not only for China but for the entire subcontinent. Chinese leadership should realize that times have changed and so has the world.
The United States has already announced that it stands with India. China is not getting support from anywhere as the world is blaming Beijing for spreading coronavirus and most of the countries across the globe want to hold China accountable.
