No place for black money in ‘New India’ | | | The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confiscated Rs 1.25 lakh crore black money during the past eight years. To ensure transparency, benami properties worth Rs 4,300 crore have been seized and registration of 1.75 lakh companies stands cancelled. Since the day Narendra Modi has taken over as the Prime Minister of India, he has ensured that the ones who used to deal with black money are taken to task. After 2014, PM Modi led dispensation has launched a sustained campaign against the black money in the country. The digital mode of payment has become popular across the country and instead of transacting in cash people are using different modes of digital means to carry out their day to day dealings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led regime has brought major economic reforms to keep the black sheep at bay. Days when people used to invest black money in benami properties are over as now most of the transactions are done through digital forms. The number of people filing income tax returns has increased. More and more people are filing returns and are disclosing their incomes. The people who used to evade the tax have been identified and held accountable for evading the tax. The war against corruption has proven to be an effective tool against the black money. It has nailed the corrupt elements in every field and has created fear among them. Things have changed drastically during PM Modi’s rule in India. It’s after a longtime that India has got a strong leader like Modi. He has sent a clear message to one and all that every Indian citizen is equal. And no one is special. It’s for the first time in the past 70-years of India’s history that no one is being treated as a VIP. Every citizen irrespective of his wealth or stature has been made to understand that he can’t be given preferential treatment due to his status. He has to stand in queue and if he is a rich man he has to explain his sources of income. No concession will be given to him due to him being a big man. In ‘New India’ black money has no place and the ones who don’t fall in line will have to pay for it. |
