Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 23: The Postgraduate Department of Geography at Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua organized two insightful guest lectures for M.A/M.Sc Semester I students under the guidance of Principal Prof. Seema Mir. The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Gurdyal, Head of the Department of Geography. The first lecture, delivered by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Jammu, focused on the "Regionalisation of Indo-Gangetic Plains of India." Dr. Singh provided an in-depth analysis of the significance and relevance of regionalization in understanding the Indo-Gangetic plains. The second lecture was presented by Prof. Mohd. Sarfaraz Asghar, Head of the PG Department of Geography at the University of Jammu. His topic, "Climate Change: Impact on Geomorphic Processes and Landforms," highlighted the profound effects of climate change on Earth's physical features and processes. Faculty members in attendance included Prof. Jagdish Lal, Dr. Rohit Singh, Dr. Surinder Singh, Dr. Rubi Raina, Prof. Charan Singh, Prof. Suprina Andotra, Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Prof. Rajni Verma, and Prof. Babita. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Pawan Kumar from the Department of Geography, expressing gratitude to the guest speakers and participants for their active engagement. |
