Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Nov 23: The Road Safety Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur organized an awareness campaign on road safety under the guidance of Principal Dr. Vandana Verma. This initiative, held as part of Road Safety Week, aimed to educate students, local communities, and the general public about responsible driving and safety practices. The campaign began with an inauguration ceremony at the college premises. Students actively participated, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of safety among the youth to reduce road accidents. Prof. Poonam Kundan, Convener of the Road Safety Club, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the club's commitment to promoting safer driving environments and equipping the next generation with knowledge and caution. She stressed the importance of responsible driving to create safer roads for all. The campaign was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, and Prof. Meetu Sharma, with support from senior faculty members including Prof. Anita Jamwal, Prof. Mamta Gupta, Dr. Anoop Bhagat, and Prof. Ritu Bhagat. Co-coordinators Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Prof. Ragini Gupta, Prof. Pooja Devi, and Prof. Sana Farooq also contributed to the event's success.
