JAMMU, Dec 11: The Career Counselling and Placement Cell, in collaboration with the Institutional Innovation Council and the Physics Department of Govt. Degree College, R.S. Pura Jammu, organized a session on 11th December 2024 titled "Career Counselling after Graduation". The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Preetpal Kour, Principal of the College.
The resource person, Ms. Rajni Sharma, counselor at Pathway to Success Institute, R.S. Pura, provided insights into various career opportunities after graduation. Her detailed PowerPoint presentation covered the scope of competitive exams like JKPSC, JKSSB, and SSC, emphasizing roles such as Naib Tehsildar, Sub-Inspector, and Patwari. She motivated students to leverage their efforts and dedication to create opportunities.
Principal Dr. Preetpal Kour highlighted the significance of career counseling in helping students analyze their strengths and develop strategies for success. She encouraged the organization of similar programs in the future.
The session saw active participation from students, followed by an engaging Q&A segment. Dr. Neharika from the Physics Department delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks, while motivational words were shared by Dr. Neeru Sawhney, Convener of the Career Counselling Cell.
The event was attended by faculty members, including Dr. Neena Gupta (HoD, English), Dr. Rajinder Kumar Sharma (Convener, IQAC), and Prof. Anju Kumari (IIC Start-up Coordinator). |
