JAMMU, Dec 11: One day Awareness programme on First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting and other emergency rescue methods was organized at Government Degree College Palwan, Akhnoor, in which 150 NCC/NSS students of the College participated.
The Program was organized under the supervision of Dy. SP. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu/ Akhnoor, who gave awareness about basic knowledge through demonstration by Civil Defence experts. The students were also made aware about Disaster Management and risk reduction during natural or manmade disaster.
On the occasion, a lecture on the topics of Disaster Management was delivered by Dy. SP. Anita Pawar. She also highlighted the set up and role of Civil Defence in the organization. Dr. Romilla Malla Bhatt, Principal of the College appreciated the role of Civil Defence in spreading awareness about disaster management and rescue.
Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Sh. Sandeep Bhatt, Sector Warden Civil Defence, Jammu and other staff of the College were present on the occasion. |
