KATHUA, Dec 11: In a continued effort to combat the menace of drug abuse, the Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) organized a Nukad Natak (street play) at Mukherjee Chowk, Kathua. The program, held under the guidance of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS), aimed to educate the public on the harmful effects of drugs and promote a drug-free community.
The awareness initiative featured a powerful performance by the Nav Durga Kala Manch, led by Shazi Khan, and was conducted as part of the Civic Action Programme. Students from Kids Heaven School Kathua also presented a thought-provoking play highlighting the dangers of drug abuse.
During the event, SSP Kathua, Shobhit Saxena (IPS), and SO to DIG Jammu, SSP Rajinder Singh Katoch, addressed the audience. SSP Katoch emphasized the destructive impact of drug addiction, particularly among youth, and urged everyone to spread awareness about its harmful effects.
