Warns Omar, Azad, Taj to disclose assets or face action
Singh plays Bhim

Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: The founder and Chief Patron of Panthers Party (PP), Professor Bhim Singh today warned the National Conference-Congress leaders to disclose their assets or face prosecution.
Responding to a news report published in a section of press accusing PP MLA, Harsh Dev Singh of amassing wealth to the tune of Rs 26 lakhs, Bhim yesterday urged Omar Abdullah, Saif-ud-Din Soz, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mangat Ram Sharma and Taj Mohi-ud-Din to disclose property owned by them and their spouses in India and abroad or face prosecution.
Terming Congress leaders as `mini slaves' of Omar Abdullah, Bhim said, "There is no surprise that the Congress leadership has got frustrated and has been terribly upset on the superb performance of Panthers Party legislator Harsh Dev Singh who was accredited as top performer as a Legislator during his first entry."
The firebrand PP leader said he was proud of his legislator who hailed from his ancestral land, Ramnagar. "He has entered the Legislative Assembly on his own. Ramnagar which was kept a reserved constituency for decades fearing entry of Chanotras into the Assembly. This is the land where our forefathers were buried alive by the rulers nearly 200 years back and Ramnagar Fort was built on the bodies of our ancestors."
Dubbing the Coalition rulers as descendents of the rulers of Ramnagar, Bhim said they have been shouting against us for over 50 years. "I was not allowed to address a gathering on 15th August, 1956 in Ramnagar. My elder brothers, Sub. Kesri Singh & Dr. Thakur Das (father of Shri Harsh Dev Singh) were manhandled by the Congress agents. Dr. Thakur Das accepted the challenge and moved to every inch of Ramnagar Constituency which happened to be part of Chanotra Principality which was governed by our forefathers."
Harsh Dev Singh, Bhim said took over the command in 1996 after the unfortunate demise of Dr. Thakur Das Chanotra. "The enemies of Ramnagar were defeated and since then Harsh has been toiling, struggling, working to elevate the status of Ramnagar so that it regained its old glory. Harsh Dev has been acclaimed as the best legislator who did not go for land grabbing, contracts, wine shops or for government contracts. This is reminded to the Congress that my father, Thakur Birbal, grandfather of Shri Harsh Dev Singh had thousands of kanals of land (they are talking of marlas) which was forcibly taken away by Sheikh Abdullah's authoritarian government in 1951, without any compensation. We were left with 23 acres of land only between six brothers and five sisters. Let the Congress leaders understand that we were neither beggars nor land grabbers. All our family members including my father and Dr. Thakur Das, father of Shri Harsh Dev Singh were serving army men."
The PP Patron said even if the news report is accepted as true for the sake of arguments, the property mentioned in it is peanuts in comparison to wealth amassed by Sheikh family and the Congress leaders. "Harsh is married in a well off family. Saying that his wife possesses 500 gms of gold makes one laugh at the stupidity of the Congress men. I feel happy that the Chairman of the Panthers Party who has been MLA for 16 years has wealth only to the extent of 26 lacs including the properties, bangles, jewelries and gold. This has exposed the enemies of the Dogras and the enemies of the people of Jammu i.e. the Congress leadership that they would not like the fresh leadership like Harsh Dev Singh, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, Shri Yashpaul Kundal & others to grow beyond the size of the Congress men. I have advised Harsh and Mrs. Manju Singh to take this allegation as a New Year greeting as it has exposed the enemies of the people and their mean and hideous intentions."
An angry Singh urged Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mangat Ram Sharma, Saifuddin Soz, Taz Mohiuddin and NC leaders including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, his son, Omar Abdullah and others to come out with a statement about their properties. "Let them disclose how much property or income they were having before they joined politics and how much properties they have in Kashmir, Jammu, Delhi, London and elsewhere. If they fail the Panthers Party shall certainly release this list as a New Year greeting to the people of Jammu", he warned.
