Jammu, Mar 15: Meeting of the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) was held in its office which was recently set up in the meeting hall of Deputy Commissioner ,Rajouri .
On the direction of Election Commission of India (ECI) ,District Election Officers (DEO) Hemant Kumar Sharma, IAS has constituted the MCMC to certify and monitor the media related activities in the district during forthcoming Lok Sabha election. The meeting was chaired by Farooq Ahmed Shah, Regional Director Survey and Land Record and chairman of the committee and was attended by other members included Sukhdev Singh, ACR ; Ashima Iqbal, District Information Officer (DIO), SK Sexena ,Director Engineering AIR and Shyam Sood, senior journalist and member Press Club, Jammu. MCMC in its first meeting resolved to work with dedication and as per the directions of ECI and also informed the DEO to provided necessary instruments/infrastructure including video cameras and TV sets for the smooth functioning of the office of MCMC. |
