Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 26: In an emergent meeting held here, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, today extended its full support to Bar Association, Udhampur (BAU), in its ongoing protest against an additional deputy commissioner (ADC) who is alleged to have misbehaved with a woman advocate. The BAJ members alleged that the general behaviour of ADC Angrej Singh Rana with litigants and lawyers community was not only unbecoming of a public servant but disrespectful as well. The BAJ decided that whatever course was adopted by BAU in its efforts, BAJ would stand by it. It was also decided that in the event of non-fulfillment of BAU's genuine demand, BAJ would be forced to adopt coercive measures by taking into confidence other bar associations of Jammu province. The meeting was attended by BAJ president Abhinav Sharma, vice-president Pranav Kohli, general secretary A P Singh, joint secretary Depesh Singh Pawar, cashier Rahul Sharma and other senior advocates of the bar. |
