Jammu, Sept 26: Gaddi Garh police today have booked a driver of school van who allegedly abused a 6th class student travelling in his van. A manhunt is on to nab the absconding accused.
"The accused has been identified as Talash Singh of Gaddi Garh (driver)," police sources said.
Quoting complainant (parents of minor), police sources said, "A 6th class student of Gaddi Garh area refused to attend her school following which parents of the girl enquired about the reasons for not attending the school."
"However when the parents probed the matter, the girl told her parents that driver of the van used to harass /molest her following which parents reported the matter to police," sources said.
They said, "Acting on the complaint police registered a case under FIR no 192/16 u/s 354 of RPC against accused (driver).
Police said that the driver managed to escape however massive manhunt has been launched to nab the accused who is evading his arrest. |
