Shocker: No building, no staff & no mid-day meal for kids in Chasana schools

Sunderbani, Sept 26: A lot has been claimed to be done to streamline the education sector but a lot yet needs to be done as needs as if the law makers visit to various schools in Chasna are of Reasi district they will come to brutal fact that these schools lack school buildings, staff and even no mid-day meal was served to students in Chasana locality.
According to some local journalists who visited Chasana, Mallikote, Chungra and Dandabagan of district Reasi they were surprised to see the most of schools lacking the basic facilities including the significant factor -the school building.
As per visitors, local apprised them that they suffer of many problems including lack of facilities in health education and power sector besides poor road connectivity.
Angrej Singh, Rohan Singh, Veer Singh, Sabha Ram, Bikam Singh from Mallikote told that there are two Govt Primary Schools (GPSs) but one school has no building while other school i.e. GPS Mallikote has an old building constructed somewhere in 1978 and lies in shambles. "No additional fund have been released by education department for its repair, they lamented. "GPS Kote Kessar is presently running in private Kucha house and has only five students with one female teacher Pushpa Devi while second teacher namely Nain Singh was found absent. However Pushpa Devi claimed that school has forty students enrolled. When asked about Mid-Day Meal, students outrightly denied that they were never been provided mid-day meal at this school and added that their parents want to admit them in GPS Mallikote. Meanwhile local alleged that Govt Primary School Kote Kessar under Chassana education zone remains open only for 15 days in one month. Locals said many times they have approached to government and education authorities demanding upgradation of this schools but all in vain. They also alleged that locality has two anganwari centers but both remains closed due to zero enrolment while ration is divided among employees every month.
The visitors have urged to education minister for enquiry for GPS Kote Kessar school in block Chassana of district Reasi and upgrade this school.
They also alleged that female teacher of GPS Kote Kessar also has questioned the team with whose order they had come to school and even threatened to lodge an FIR against them.
