Surgical Strikes
Aftermath

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 9: Nearly 10-days after the Indian Army crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and destroyed terrorist launching pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), the terrorists present in Kashmir are trying to regroup to make their presence felt, sources told Early Times.
They said terrorists in Kashmir have been asked by their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) to avenge the killings of terrorists killed in the surgical strikes in PoK last month.
Sources said that as terrorists have failed to carry out ant major strike in Kashmir, they are trying to make their presence felt by snatching weapons of the policemen. "During the past 15-days five incidents of weapon snatching have taken place," sources added.
They said, "Terrorists used to carry out the attacks from behind the people and used to use common man as human shield. Due to prevailing unrest in Kashmir they have been unable to carry out any attacks. Soon after the unrest gripped Kashmir, terrorists used to mingle with the crowds and fire upon the security forces but due to no protests taking place for more than a month now they are finding it hard to come out in open to challenge the security personnel. After the surgical strikes, alert soldiers foiled the attempts of terrorists to enter inside the Army camps at Baramulla and Handwara in north Kashmir."
Sources said that since the day Army carried out surgical strikes across the LoC, the terrorists have shifted their launching pads from the Line of Control (LoC) deep into the forests. "Many terrorists who were waiting near LoC to infiltrate have abandoned the launching pads fearing that Indian Army may carry such strikes in future also. The surgical strikes have created panic among the terrorist ranks and their so-called leaders are looking for other ways and means to push the terrorists across the LoC," they added.
A source claimed that surgical strikes have rattled the terrorists as speculations are rife that after hitting the launching pads Indian soldiers are likely to target the terrorists training camps in PoK. "The swift action of Indian Army has sent the terrorist handlers into tizzy and they are finding it difficult to rope in new recruits and push the others across the LoC and the border. Pakistan Army is providing them full support by resorting to ceasefire violations on the borders and LoC. Pakistani Army is providing cover fire to the terrorists but has failed to push them in due to alert troopers on the borders."
Sources said that terrorists present in Kashmir have told their bosses across the LoC to provide them with more manpower and support if they want them to strike. "The wireless intercepts reveal that terrorists in Kashmir are feeling choked and seem to be in no mood to follow the orders of their bosses sitting across the LoC," they said, "Surgical strikes have lowered their morale and they (terrorists) in Kashmir have realized that their days are numbered as security forces are zeroing on them."
