Jammu, Oct 16: Taking serious exception to the modus operandi adopted by the authorities executing work for laying utilities pipes in the urban Jammu periphery, State President of National Secular Forum (NSF) today flayed authorities for making life miserable for commuters.
"The traffic situation in the city has remained synonymous with poor traffic management by the authorities but the condition of the roads in Jammu west limits is among the most dilapidated", said Dr Vikas, adding that the potholes, encroachment and improper digging work in the areas like New Plot, Sarwal, Vikas Nagar, Subash Nagar, Rajpura, Janipur, New-Rehari, Roop Nagar and adjoining has converted the roads into trenches. He further said that such provisions are to be kept in the proposal for construction of roads as people are facing constant difficulties by digging the roads for laying of cables, PHE pipes, etc and it often results in traffic jams and other problems to people. |
