Jammu, Oct 16: Sant Charitable Foundation donated 75 units of blood on Sunday in camp organized at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Bishnah. Accoding to press release, the camp was inaugurated by B R Lachotra former Director General Planning J&K Govt. While speaking on the occasion he said that Nirankari mission played a vital role in the field of Blood donation and gave the clear message to all the society members to come forward for this noble and pious cause. He also applauded and congratulated all the volunteer donors. Other dignitaries presented in the camp were Dr Kajal from Blood Bank GMC Jammu, F C Bhagat KAS, Nanak Chand Mukhi Pandorian, Bansi Lal Sanchalak and several prominent members of the town. Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge said that even though basically the Mission is a spiritual movement, it has been making a significant contribution towards social welfare activities also. He added that while launching the series in 1986, his Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that 'Blood should flow in veins and not in drains.' Ever since, lakhs of devotees have been donating their blood every year.Satpal, Mukhi, Sant Nirankari Mandal branch Bishnah, presented the vote of thanks during culmination of camp. |
