Jammu, Oct 17: Continuing with the drive to ensure availability of wholesome sweets, fenniya/katlama and dry fruits on the eve of Karvachauth and Deewali to the consumer at large, a team of the Food Safety Officers namely Daleep Singh , Jai Inder Singh, Hans Raj & Ajay Khajuria under the supervision of Sanjeev Kumar, Asstt. Controller Food ,(MLJ) , Drugs & Food Control Organization, J&K, Jammu carried out inspections of various sweet shops in the area of Canal Road, BC Road, Kanji House, Jewel, Digiana, Shastrinagar, Gandhi Nagar areas. The samples of various sweets such as Fenniya, Kalakhand, Rasgulla, Khoya, Pehra, Patisa, Pinni, etc and dry Fruits ( badam/kaju) were lifted from the vendors namely M/S Bikano Family Restaurant , Mahajan Sweet Shop, Kwality Sweet Shop Canal Road, Jammu, Roop Singh Digiana, Ishwal Sweet Shop Digiana, Jandial Sweet Shop, ShastriNagar, Jammu , Pahalwan Di Hatti Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, M/S Milk Shop( Mahalaxmi), BC Road, M/S Romal Singh Joginder Pal, BC Road, M/S Dayal Dry Fruit, Below Gumat, Jammu M/S Devkinanadan Gupta, Kanji House, Jammu & M/S Jai Vaishno Petha Food Products, Kanji House, Jammu and sent to the Food Testing laboratory for analysis. Moreover all the Food Business operators dealing with sweets have been sensitized to observe/ secure compliance with sanitary and hygienic conditions of their premises as per mandate of the FSS (Licensing & Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations 2011 in letter and spirit and prepare/sell the Standard quality sweets to the general Public.
