5/15/2024 10:01:48 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 15: NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organizes 'Special Lecture' on the occasion of International Families Day Celebrations under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College. More than eighty college students and NSS volunteers participated in the lecture with great enthusiasm, fervour and zeal. The aim of organizing lecture on such a topic was to promote family prosperity and awareness about the social, monetary, and demographic transformation that influence families.
The lecture started with the welcome address by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) where she briefed the students that International Families Day is an event that intended to allow loved ones to take a respite from their daily lives and spend quality time together. Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) while speaking on the occasion said that International Families Day is a date for us all to pay tribute and honor to our families. Often, we do not appreciate our families as much as we should because we spend so much time with them and we are so used to this that we do not take a step back and reflect on everything that they do for us. This day gives us the opportunity to do so and to value our loved ones and our families.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Prof. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology), Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) and co-ordinated by Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Radhika Rasyal, Prof. Mazid Malik, Dr. Jan Mohd. Wani and Prof. Renuka Kundal.
