Jammu, Jan 14: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua has constituted a committee for the transfer of teachers that too at a time when he is on the verge of his retirement and the academic session in Jammu province is also at its peak.
Moreover, setting a new precedent, the Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) have been ignored but Principals have been included in the committee due to reasons best known to him.
The committee members include Deputy CEO Kathua Prem Singh, Principal Higher Secondary School Bani Ashok Kumar, Principal Higher Secondary School Barwal Rakesh Jasrotia and Principal HSS Kathera Rakesh Kumar Sharma.
The committee has been asked to consider the applications received by CEO office for transfer of teachers and has to prepare the transfer proposals so that the transfer process would be completed by 25th of January.
