Mehbooba's attempt to douse flames has no takers | Crisis in PAGD | | Early Times Report
jammu, Jan 18: After claiming that "All is Well" within the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), vice-president of the amalgam, Mehbooba Mufti has once again gone silent.
It may be recalled that Mehbooba had spoken up after longtime when senior leaders of Peoples Conference, Imran Raza Ansari and Abdul Gani Vakil had accused National Conference of fielding the proxy candidates in the recently held District Development Council (DDC). They have been demanding that the PC led by Sajad Gani Lone should pull out from the PAGD as their party has been "backstabbed" by the alliance partners.
As the crisis snowballed into a major controversy, Mehbooba had stepped in to diffuse the tension by claiming that a "false propaganda" has been launched against the PAGD-conglomerate of Kashmir centric parties-but after that she has once again turned mute as her act to douse the flames was not reciprocated by the National Conference leaders.

SRINAGAR, Jan 18: The COVID-19 recovery rate in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 97.54 percent as 194 virus affected patients recovered today. With 82 new cases the total number of positive cases reached 123425; following one fresh death the death toll reached 1922.

jammu, Jan 18: The approval of Detail Project Report (DPR) of the prestigious Singhpora-Vailoo tunnel to connect Kishtwar District with Srinagar is still under process, a RTI has revealed.
The General Manager (T) National Highways and Infrastructural Development Corporation limited (NHIDCL) in a reply dated 27-10-2020 to RTI filled by Advocate Faheem Shokat Butt has stated that the DPR has been prepared by M/S TRF Getinsa Eurostudious as S.L in association with Rodic Consultant Private Limited and the approval of DPR is under progress.

Kulgam, Jan 18: In a shocking incident, a 6-year old girl and 10 year old boy of a nomadic family, died in Kulgam due to freeing weather.
The nomadic family was homeless and was putting up in a tent in Brinal Lammar village Kulgam, reports said.
The deceased children have been identified as Sahil Zubair (10) son of Zubair Ahmad Mandar, of Reasi.
According to reports, during the intervening night of Sunday—Monday the family’s 6-year-old daughter Shazia Jan also developed some complications due to severe cold and the family immediately shifted her to a nearby healthcare facility.
