Bharat Jodo Yatra
1/20/2023 10:49:26 PM
Early Times Report CHADWAL (Kathua), Jan 20: Although Congress supported the demand of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, the party could not muster the guts to support the demand of bringing back Articles 370 and 35-A. While addressing media persons in connection with the day one of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in J&K, Jairam Ramesh termed the revocation of Article 370 but avoided supporting the demand of restoring this article in J&K. “The bill passed on August 5, 2019 in the Parliament was done without discussion, examination, and majority. It was ‘forcefully’ revoked with the brute majority” said Jairam Ramesh and tried to avoid a direct reply to the demand of restoring Article 370. “We are against UT status to Jammu and Kashmir and statehood status must be restored,” he said...

Cong ‘humiliates’ Lal Singh to please ‘radical’ groups in Kashmir
1/20/2023 10:48:50 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 20: The J&K unit of BJP is elated after Congress leadership virtually “snubbed and humiliated” Choudhary Lal Singh, chairman of the Dogra Sabhiman Sangathan Party, only to keep Kashmir-centric political parties and some radical groups in good humours. These radical groups and some political parties have launched a campaign against Choudhary Lal Singh after he announced joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Instead of accommodating Choudhary Lal Singh, whose supporters outnumbered Congress workers at Lakhanpur to welcome Rahul Gandhi, Congress leadership preferred to allow the Awami National Conference leader on the dias. It was an open secret that number of s...

Locals give cold response, stay indoors
1/20/2023 10:48:43 PM
Early Times Report Kathua, Jan 20: The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi received a cold-shoulder response from the locals in Kathua. On the one hand, people preferred to stay inside due to the hostile weather while on the other hand, an aggressive campaign was launched on social media after Congress leadership humiliated Choudhary Lal Singh. Netizens pointed out that once again Congress shamelessly hurt the sentiments of Jammu to please some Kashmir-centric parties and some radical groups of Kashmir Valley. And more importantly, Kathua is a stronghold of Choudhary Lal Singh. After Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma resigned from the party, Congress does not have any leader in this district wh...
