Kathua/Jammu, Jan 22: The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed Sunday from Hiranagar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district amid heightened security in the wake of twin blasts in Jammu.
After a day-long break, the foot march started as per schedule around 7 am from Hiranagar near the International Border along the Jammu-Pathankot highway which was sealed by police and other security forces.

Samba/Jammu, Jan 22: A day after twin bomb blasts rocked a busy locality here leaving nine people injured, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Sunday said there will be no compromise on the security of Rahul Gandhi who is leading the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Jammu and Kashmir. The Yatra entered Kathua district Thursday evening via Punjab.
After a day’s break on Saturday, the yatra, which commenced from Kanyakumari on September 7, resumed from Hiranagar on Sunday and will reach Jammu on January 23.

Jammu, Jan 22: Within 24 hours after twin blasts in the Narwal area of Jammu city, a special team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday visited the spot along with officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The sleuths of NIA inspected the site of the twin blasts and collected some samples.
Although the investigation of Saturday’s twin blasts is yet to be handed over to the NIA, a special team was deputed to inspect the scene and collect some samples from the spot.

Jammu, Jan 22: Even as two blasts rocked Narwal area here on January 21 morning leaving at least seven persons wounded, the J&K Police suspects terror angle into another blast that took place at Bajalta near Sidhra on the previous night taking the total of explosions to three in a day. Srinagar, Jan 22: A low intensity avalanche took place at a village in Tulail in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday without causing any damage to life or property, officials said.
The avalanche hit village Hussangam in the district on Sunday afternoon. However, there was no report of any damage to life or property, police confirmed.
Teams from the administration had rushed to the spot to assess the situation who confirmed that no damage or loss of life was caused due to the avalanche, they added.
Meanwhile, residents living in the high altitudes have been advised to take precautions and avoid venturing out in avalanche prone areas.
