Rajouri, Jan 2: Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday while terming the killing of four innocent civilians and two children in firing and IED explosion at Rajouri as “very unfortunate” stating that “we will get to the bottom of the case and ensure justice to the families of slain.” LG Sinha visited the families of slain—four civilians and two children, who were killed in firing and IED blast explosion at Rajouri, to express solidarity with the bereaved families. The IED blast took place early on Monday morning exactly at the spot where gunmen shot dead four civilians and injured many others.

Jammu, Jan 2: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has taken serious note of the brazen security lapse after the Dhangri terror attack on Sunday evening.
During his visit to the spot, locals informed Lieutenant Governor about the casual attitude of the local police and civil administration in cleaning the terror-affected village after the attack.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the locals that all such issues will be taken into consideration. After killing four civilians on Sunday evening terrorists planted IEDs inside the houses of some of the victims. Jammu, Jan 2: Security forces are looking for some locals who provided vital information to the terrorists about members of the minority community who were selectively targeted.
Reports said that after the gruesome incident, security forces started a massive operation to first identify local guides who guided the terrorists to target members of a particular community living near the temple.

Jammu, Jan 2: Even as deadly terror strike took place in Rajauri area of Jammu and Kashmir on January 1, same time around an also attack took place in the summer capital of Srinagar.

SRINAGAR, Jan 2: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has registered a substantial growth in collection of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the month of December, 2022.
As per the state/UT wise data being reflected in a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, J&K has registered an increase of 28 per cent in its GST collection for the month of December, 2022 which is 13 per cent more than the national average.
Additional Commissioner, State Taxes Kashmir, Shakeel Maqbool, while speaking in this backdrop, said that this spurt in GST collection has been recorded due to better tax compliance and reporting coupled with economic recovery.

Gurdaspur, Jan 2: Yet another incident of infringement of Indian airspace by a suspected Pakistani drone has come to light in Punjab's border area.
BSF jawans are reported to have fired at a Pakistani drone and forced it to return to the Pakistani side, at the Kalampur border outpost, in Gurdaspur.
Prabhakar Joshi, DIG BSF in a statement said, "A Pakistani drone was spotted by the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans at the Kalampur border outpost, on Sunday, January 1, at around 10.10 PM.
The BSF jawans from the 89 battalion fired 20 rounds at the drone and fired three illumination bombs following which the drone went back to Pakistan."
