Jammu, Jan 29: Even as first month of 2019 is almost over, the J&K Skill Development Mission has just released its wall calendar in a "hurried manner", yet again raising brows on the working of the said office.
Official sources said though calendar was released here on January 28, it was "waste of the money of the state exchequer."
"New Calendars are released by latest in the first week of the new year, but in this case it has been released on the last day of forth week. This is enough to show how government is being taken forgranted by this office," said a source in the development mission.
Sources said the J&KSDM had "no plans to release a calendar as no such preparation was done at the right time" but the process was initiated to benefit "blue eyed."
Sources said it was only in the middle of January that the J&KSDM officials decided to release a calendar for "personal benefits."
The sources said the tenders for the process were floated in a "hush hush" manner.
