JK admin greets 100 % spike of Covid cases in Jammu with Kavi Sammelan | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 6: A day after Jammu witnessed a hundred percent spike in Covid cases with over 300 testing positive on January 5, the J&K admin started a 4-day poetry festival here on Thursday.
As per an official handout of the Information department, a 4-day Poetry Festival organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) commenced here today.

Anantnag, Jan 6: To prove the official claim of 0-Positive cases wrong, a youth from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday posted his Positive PCR test on micro-blogging site twitter.
“Dear Anantnag DIPRC, please don’t mislead people. Going on record, blatantly lying isn’t fair. I have tested positive for COVID-19 today,” he wrote on twitter.
The youth claimed that he was a resident of Anantnag and had collected RTCR sample at Government Medical College Anantnag on Thursday.
On Friday, the authorities at GMC Anantnag conveyed to him that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Srinagar, Jan 6: Jammu and Kashmir is all set to reduce the strength of the Special Security Group (SSG) personnel who guard former Chief Ministers Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.
The SSG is an elite unit of the police created in 2000 to guard top politicians in the state.

Anantnag, Jan 6: Despite the passage of over 4 years now, the authorities have miserably failed to make the X-Ray plant functional at Primary Health Center Khiram.
The Primary Health Center Khiram even doesn’t have a technician to run the ECG machine, hospital staff told Early Times.
