Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: Desperate efforts of BJP to win hearts and minds of the people of Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370 by shamelessly crossing all limits of appeasement is fueling anger in Jammu region which is stronghold of the party.
After passing of five months-since abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of J&K into two Union Territories (UT), the whole BJP leadership- from local to national, has been indulged into appeasing people of Kashmir while neglecting genuine voice of Jammu region. Instead of taking its core constituency into confidence while formulating rules for UT of J&K, BJP leaders are indulged into roping in Valley based leaders and trying to appease them.
Party leaders are busy in organizing sports events in Kashmir Valley and also arrange tours of Kashmiri leaders to Delhi to encourage them to involve in dialogue process. People of Jammu region who have always support BJP, are now demanding land and job rights but none of the BJP leader is ready to speak on this issue.
