Kathua, Sept 30: Known for misuse of official machinery, the BJP state unit forcibly lifted a dice ( Lecture stand) from Government Girls Higher Secondary Kathua without permission of Chief Education Officer and utilized it in the election campaign at Town Hall. Ironically, Dr Jatendra Singh Union minister PMO was the chief guest and used that dice.

Srinagar, Sept 30: Though the successive governments over the years maintained that the number of steps had been taken to curb crime against women, the latest figures show an increase in the cases of crime against women in the last two years.
According to a report, the total number of cases of violence increased from 2,929 in 2016 to 3,363 in 2017-18.The official figures show that most of the cases have been registered in the capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar.
