Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 30: A day before the completion of the polling for the last and final phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress extended an olive branch to the ignored Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to formulate a grand alliance post-elections to stop BJP for attaining power. Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Jairam Ramesh on Monday said that PDP is not our rival in Jammu and Kashmir. On the question of a possible grand alliance with PDP, after the elections to stop the BJP, Jairam Ramesh claimed that the NC-Congress alliance will get a clear majority. “Let us see what happens. The PDP is a part of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) alliance but our alliance for elections in Jammu and Kashmir is only with the National Conference. Let us see what will happen post-polls”, he said while dropping a hint that the Congress would not hesitate to rope in PDP in case the alliance falls short of some seats. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 30: After completion of the polling for the third and final phase of the three-phased Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, a meeting of the Core Group of the BJP will be held on Tuesday evening to discuss the situation. Highly placed sources said that BJP’s Core Group will seek feedback from workers up to the polling booth level to get an exact picture of the party’s chances in the crucial 24 assembly segments of Jammu province.
